Turkey: Bogazkale and Hattusa

Heading further inland and south west - to visit the Hittite ruins of Hattusha, near the small village of Bogazkale, where we stayed at the Asikoglu Hotel (walk-in, no booking):



It was very hot, but we spent a full day wandering around the bare ruins:

We were going to venture further afield and visit another site, but were a little sickened by the long day in the heat, so stayed at the hotel and rested up, contemplating the hotel garden:
