We flew from Paris to Istanbul, with a transfer provided to the Tashkonak Hotel in Sultanahmet:

with great views (of course) of the Sea of Marmara and around:

It was near the Blue Mosque:

and the Islamic Art Museum:

and not far from Aya Sofia:

and the Archeological Museum:

with its fascinating collection of very early documents, treaties and poems:

plus the closest we got to Troy and to the litter trays of ages:

One day, we took the ferry:

to the Princes Islands:

And another day, Pat did a cooking course and Roger joined the group for lunch:
