Siracusa, Sicily

Across on the short ferry from Villa San Giovanni to Messina, and down the east coast of Sicily to Siracusa, staying just outside the old town, again in a B&B (Casa Mia) with a leaking air-con:

and another day drove slowly up the east coast to Taormina near Etna (slow because of road works and grass fires!). (Hence no real photos of Syracusa.)

Another day we went to Noto and Ragusa (but Giorgio's Magic Music CD shop was closed, so we had to return to Ragusa on the way along the south coast to Sciacca the next day):
